Tazkirah daripada sheikh saleem

in the name of Allah, the most gracious, the most merciful.Sheikh commenced his reminder with a story from bai'atul ridhwan. the bai'ah was taken place under a tree after rasulullah and his companions heard the news that uthman had been killed by the kuffar. thereafter, they have promised with their soul that they will take revenge after the assassination of uthman. The prophet of Allah at that time informed the companions that all of them will directly enter the paradise. Habsah, one of the prophets wives, heard the words from our beloved prophet and then she asked him that why the prophet saying was not incongruent with one of the verses in Al-quran. The verse that habsah referring to was a verse that says every human being will go through hellfire before they enter paradise. Listening to the question of habsah, rasulullah explained about the concept of sirat whereby the believers will pass the 'bridge' easily while the non-believers will slip down into the hellfire.

the second story sheikh mention was about aisyah. Once ibnu umar narrated that he heard the prophet was talking with the dead people. however, aisyah when he think of that narration, refuse to accept the words of ibnu umar. she was not rejecting the act of the prophet, but she assumed that there are probability that ibnu umar misheard the prophets action. this is because, according to sheikh saleem, there are verses in the quran stating that the dead men no longer has any connections with this worldly life.

from these stories, sheikh brought up the point that human being need not to follow anyone without any evidence or proof. In the holy quran, allah has urged human kind in quite a good number of verses to think about everything, starting from ourselves, to the larger creation of Allah. we should not merely following others without thinking ad trying to rationalized it.

another important point why the companions were amazing back at their time up to now, is because rasulullah managed to build their personality. what is it personality?i was wondering when i heard the tazkirah back in the masjid. according to Oxford dictionary personality is the combination of characteristics and qualities that form an individual's distinctive character. there you go! rasulullah had brilliantly succeeded in developing his companions' characters leading them to be the best human being ever walked in this earth. i quoted this statement from asraf's facebook'

'Never let people decide who you need to be with and who you want to be with, dont let seniors control you by creating a comfort zone for you, pampering you, you have to find your own personality, self discovery is key element in growing up'

why you do not try to rationalize it..

and allah is the best knower...

Characteristics of the people of jannah

alhamduillah praise be to Allah because today i had a chance to watch this very meaningful video by ustaz nouman ali khan in the midst of pathology revision. I never heard of his sermon before this. i came across his first video about 'ISLAM and EGO' a couple of days ago after my friend give the link for the video. However i'm not going to write about that video. i'm going to talk about this particular video; characteristics of the people of jannah (heaven). He quoted verses 133-136 from surah ali imran. in those particular verses, Allah describes the people of jannah as

1.They give sadaqah(charity) when they are in ease or hard
2.They hold their anger by swallowing it
3.They forgive others and pray for their forgiveness
4.They ask for Allah's forgiveness when they do fahisyah (shameless deeds) and when they do unjust deeds to themselves. They will not knowingly repeat their sin. This is a remind for myself. I'm just a slave who always go astray. mMay Allah guide my path. ameen ya rabbal 'alamin.

BERCAKAP YANG HAQ ATAU DIAM

May Allah guides my words
